In Glen Innes Highlands, the magic of the Celtic nations isn’t just found in music, myths, and monuments – it’s on the plate and in the glass! The Celtic Food Trail, running from Thursday 30 April to Sunday 3 May 2026, invites you to taste your way through an unforgettable collection of traditional and Celtic-inspired flavours from across Glen Innes businesses and Australian Celtic Festival traders.
Whether you’re craving a crusty Scotch pie, tatties and neeps, Dundee cake, a hearty Irish stews, Cornish pasties or Welsh bara brith, this trail brings together a delectable range of food and drink that celebrates the heritage and heart of the Celtic nations of Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Cornwall, Isle of Man and Brittany. From Caramel Drambuie cupcakes to black pudding breakfasts, Guinness cake to Deepwater Brewing Deliverance Stout, there’s something here to stir every soul.
From the town centre to the high country, the villages and the Australian Standing Festival site, the Celtic Food Trail is a true celebration of our region’s hospitality and creativity. So gather your clan, bring your appetite, and raise a toast to the flavours of the festival!
