Whether the kids are drawn to the rhythm of traditional Celtic tunes or eager to unleash their artistic side, there’s something here for every young Celtic enthusiast.

Step into the magical world of the Celtic Kids Marquee where unicorns, Loch Ness monsters, knights, and faeries rule the day! From 10am to 4pm, Saturday 2 & Sunday 3 May 2026, little adventurers can dive into a world of colour, craft, and imagination. Kids can paint, decorate their very own shield, design a tabard to wear, create a lucky rock, or colour and craft beautiful faeries. Storytelling will spark their imagination, as well as the kids performance workshop where you can channel your favourite character, dress up and enter your own magical world. There will be free face painting (11am–3pm Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 May) who will help transform you into magical creatures.
Don’t miss the enchanting Fairy Bridge (Saturday 2 & Sunday 3 May) where children can say hello to the fairies, pull out a magic ticket and win a prize!

At the festival’s jousting arena, the Nova Hollandia Knights School will be guiding knights and noble maidens to learn the ways of chivalry and embark on epic adventures. From mastering the art of swordplay to discovering the secrets of medieval crafts, the experience promises an unforgettable journey into the world of Celtic legend and lore.
The Australian Celtic Festival is held in Glen Innes Highlands, Ngarabul Country.
