Australian Celtic Women

Venue: Glen Innes Services Club, Grey Street Glen Innes

Date: Saturday 3 May 2025

Time: Doors open 6pm for 6.30pm start ends 9.00pm

The Australian Celtic Women show brings together an all-female 7 piece musical ensemble to transport you back to rolling hills and misty moors, with tantalizing harmonies, dazzling costumes and whirlwind fiddle playing.

This concert focuses on our featured Celtic nations this year with songs from Wales, Cornwall & Brittany; along with some favourite Irish & Scottish tunes.

Come join us at the Chapel for our special “Songs from the Valleys” concert.

More than just a ‘celtic band’, be prepared for a show that combines the richness of celtic instruments (harp, fiddle, bagpipes, bodhran, cello, keys, drums, tin whistles) with award-winning musicians and singers and years of experience in opera, musical theatre, folk, pop and celtic music, to provide an unforgettable performance full of warmth, memories, laughs, dancing, exhilaration and more…

Chapel Theatre Open Mic Night

Venue: Glen Innes Chapel Theatre, 143 Church Street, Glen Innes (Cnr Bourke)

Doors open 5pm Friday 2 May, 2025

This will be a lively evening of music, poetry and performance with opportunities to join in one of the biggest Celtic music sessions on the event calendar.

Gold coin donation, bar and snacks available.

Celtic Realms Art Exhibition

Venue: Glen Innes Art Gallery, 71 Grey St, Glen Innes

Weekdays: 10am to 4pm

Saturdays: 10am to 1pm

The Glen Innes Art Gallery is holding an exhibition themed ‘Mythological Creatures’ from 18 April to 22 May. Entry is free.

Celtic inspired entries are also included in the Australian Celtic Festival Cultural Awards Art prize. Make your selection to help choose a winner.

Spinners & Yarners at The Land Of The Beardies Museum

Venue: The Potter Building at Land of the Beardies Museum, Cnr West Avenue & Ferguson Street, Glen Innes

On the Sunday 4 and Monday 5 May

10 to 4pm

The Spinners and Yarners will be demonstrating and have some items for sale.

Celtic Concert: Murphy’s Pigs

Venue: Glen Innes Services Club

Date: Friday 2 May 2025

Time: Traditional haggis toasting ceremony at 6.45pm; Entertainment from 7.30pm

Cost: $25

Additional information:

The Stones Restaurant will be open for meals – Limited bookings available.

The Carvery will be available to concert ticket holders via the auditorium.
